GEOSPACE, INC., a Delaware corporation (“we”) and the maker of WhiteDoor, operates whitedoor.com from the United States. This notice covers this website only. Questions go to info@whitedoor.com.
What we collect
Usage analytics. Unless you turn it off, Google Analytics 4 tells us which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site and what they click (including links to email us), their general location (country or city), and their device and browser. It sets cookies whose names start with _ga, which hold a random identifier and last up to two years. Google receives your IP address to estimate location; we never see it, and Google states that GA4 does not store it. Advertising features are off.
Waitlist signup. If you join the Layout waitlist, you give us your email address. The signup form is provided by Twilio SendGrid, which stores the address in our contact list, and we use it to email you when Layout opens up. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at your device and how you use the form to tell people from bots. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to reCAPTCHA.
Hosting. Google Firebase Hosting serves the site and, like any web host, receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages.
Email you send us. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you send, and we use it to respond.
Turning analytics off
Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page and choose Turn off. Analytics stops, the _ga cookies are removed, and your choice is saved in that browser; clearing site data resets it. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser also turns analytics off unless you chose Turn on here. We do not respond to Do Not Track. Blocking JavaScript stops analytics too. The site works the same either way.
Who receives it
Google LLC processes analytics, hosting, and email data for us in the United States; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google also runs reCAPTCHA on the waitlist form. Twilio SendGrid provides the waitlist form and stores waitlist addresses for us. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Beyond the Google and SendGrid processing described here, we share it only when the law requires it or when it is needed to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics keeps visitor-level data for no more than 14 months. Email is kept as long as we need it to handle the matter. A waitlist address is kept until Layout opens up and we no longer need it to tell you about Layout, or until you ask us to delete it. Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe link; if you unsubscribe, we keep the address only to make sure we do not email it again.
Your choices
Email info@whitedoor.com to ask what we hold about you or to have it corrected or deleted. We honor reasonable requests, subject to records we must keep by law, and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If what this site collects changes, we will update this page and its date. geospace.io has its own notice.
